You know yourself better than anyone. YOu think you need to wait, then you wait! ome people havethe ability to really rock weightloss with out surgery, you might be one of them!

Most people here have had some form of weight loss surgery.  But this is NOT "weightlosssurgery.com", it's OBESITYHELP.COM.  It is a support place for anyone suffering from the disease of obesity, who wants to lose weight!   So even if you NEVER decide to have any form of WLS, you should always feel welcome here - we cheer each other on, we kick each other in the butt, we share silly off-topic stuff, and in many cases, we have become good friends.   You are completely welcome to join the family, and we will help you in any way we can. We're funny that way.

Ditto what everyone else has said and yes, please do stay here - post your successes with WW as well, because when one wins, we all win! Also, there is a non-surgical WL forum on here and you may choose to check that out, too. And do be sure to post to the DS board and keep learning! I remember when my sister (Lisa Joy) called me after the WLS meeting at the hospital and said EXACTLY what you said. I said "Yeah....go for it (diet only). What was so funny is that she lasted about a week end before feeling discouraged about that and was back on the WLS plan. But she had already done some processing.  So each person's process is unique and some eventually takes them to WLS. My process was very different from Lisa's. I'm a nurse so had practically NO fear of complications (I probably should have had more fear) and when I found out I could get the band, I signed up for it....there was no processing for me. I think I spent about a second thinking "what am I doing?" So good luck to you in your process! AMY......LOVE your avitar!
